Please, Mr. Postman

They're out there.

Nightshade ARCs.

Real ones.

Books with full cover art and shiny paper.

Somewhere between New York City and Minneapolis my ARCs are trucking along, heading to my doorstep.

And I'm waiting for them.

Have I mentioned before how bad I am at waiting?

In the mean time, I just got an email from the awesome Anna Jarzab telling me that Florence and the Machine's "Howl," is the perfect Nightshade song.

She is sooooo right. How did I not know this song before?

  3. That is awesome. So what do you do with ARCs when you get them? I always wondered what the protocol is for that.

  5. You go Andrea!! Take a picture of your mailbox. I would be walking circles in the snow like a Fox and Goose game of long ago. Whew...I feel faint just thinking about it. I will be a basket case, come the day.

It's been fun, traveling this road with you.

  12. Also--weird? The song "Please Mr. Postman" by the Marvelettes JUST came on after I posted this. (OK, it's not so random since I listen to that song a lot...)

  13. I've been gone getting married, and I'm still somewhat new to the publishing world, but what's an ARC?

  14. Sadako - That's awesome!

Void - Congrats!! Second ARC is Advanced Review Copies; these are the books that are circulated to reviewers and sales reps prior to official publication :)

  15. And for anyone whose wondering, they haven't arrived yet. The only thing I've gotten between yesterday and today is a nasty fever/flu thing. Blah.
