I think it would complete the picture and specific descriptions are often neglected... as long as it is not over emphasised, like in twilight. And the easier to imagine, the better.Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13643728906435388394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3320387264034521574.post-41222982770597393172009-07-17T14:37:33.671-05:002009-07-17T14:37:33.671-05:00Hi Tricia,

I, too, have a character who smells of cinnamon. But I think you really hooked me with leather, sandalwood and bonfires. Yum.Tricia J. I do know the value of smell though so I liked reading the scents of your characters. One of the smells that can always take me way back is wet straw. When I was a kid at the Renaissance Fair with my parents they would always water down the straw bales in the morning before the fair opened to keep the dust down. So the smell reminds me of those mornings. Also, my cousins always recognized the scent on my family's sleeping bags which they said "smelled like Santa Cruz" - basically it is a mix of salty air and dampness...Tanya Cothranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04947428086417469133noreply@blogger.com
